The 5-point Google Business Profile check
Five public details you can review in about ten minutes. Use this before paying anyone to manage your profile.
Your profile should make it easy for a prospective customer to understand what you do, where you work, and how to reach you. Check these five items against your own current business facts.
Google Business Profile is free. Changes to profile content can take time to appear and Google controls what it displays.
- 01
Hours and availability
Check that the public hours describe when customers can reach you or when you actually serve them. Confirm holiday changes with the owner before editing.
- 02
Services and category
Compare the visible category and services with what the business really offers. Do not add services or keywords only to influence ranking.
- 03
Service area and address
Confirm the listed areas reflect where the company travels. If customers do not visit the business address, check whether it should be hidden under Google's service-area rules.
- 04
Website and booking path
Open the website, call link, and booking link from a phone. Make sure they lead to the right business and a usable next step.
- 05
Recent customer reviews
Read the latest genuine reviews. Draft short, relevant replies in the owner's voice; get explicit approval before posting, especially for complaints.
